Bird & Bat courses
These FAT courses are intensive field practicums meant to provide quick and easy field tools for identifying and classifying passerine and raptorial birds while in the field. They are divided into family (Level 1) and genera (Level 2) field identification courses and are an excellent resource for conducting natural heritage assessments, field investigations related to environmental impact studies and renewable energy projects. Field practicums may involve time at a bird banding station to familiarize you with birds up-close and personal. For bats we may visit natural areas known to harbor sizable populations of bats
